I am a physician, author, mission leader, speaker, former 2022 Republican Congressional candidate in Michigan’s 5th District, and Michigan State Chair for U.S. Term Limits. I grew up in New York and moved to several places before attending college in Nebraska. After undergraduate studies, she then went on to Bible College & Medical School in Oklahoma. She now resides in Michigan. In 2008, Dr. Sherry launched Herbie Medical Clinic providing care to the underserved and uninsured where she continues to serve as the Medical Director. She has traveled to 35 different countries leading medical missions and disaster relief. In 2020, she responded to the Covid pandemic by spending weekends caring for patients on the front lines in New York City. As a true leader, she has led humanitarian medical missions to war-ravaged Ukraine at her own expense. Her knowledge of the world’s hotbeds will be invaluable in the U.S. Senate. She has owned her practice since 2003. She is a Fellow with the American College of Osteopathic Internists. She has been awarded “Preceptor of the Year” three times as adjunct faculty at Western Michigan University and Seton Hill University. She serves on the Board of Medical Evangelism Training Seminars (METS). She also initiated a residency training program through the Osteopathic Physician Training Initiative. She is honored to be recognized by Michigan’s prestigious She Leads Michigan/America , a strong Christian organization that has based their professional lives & work ethics on Christian conservative values.
